Shipping Terms
We aim to despatch all items within 7 working days of the order being placed, but normally this will be within 48 hours.
UK Deliveries
Delivery to UK addresses is usually via the Royal Mail signed for delivery service at a cost of £4.99 per order. Depending on the prevailing coronavirus situation or other circumstances we may use alternative delivery arrangements such as courier companies, and delivery may take a few days longer. We may be able to arrange for contactless delivery, so please do inform us if you are currently isolating, and we will advise the courier.
UK orders for UK delivery over the value of £150 (excluding postage costs) may qualify for free postage.
Delivery is usually during typical business hours. For certain areas such as Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, delivery will be expected to take additional time - usually at least one extra day. This is due to variable conditions such as weather, distances involved, and availability of boats, trains, planes etc. These delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
If a customer expects not to be at home to accept the delivery, (understandable, as obviously precise delivery times cannot be absolutely guaranteed) then they can use the option of nominating a different delivery address to that of the billing address. This can be, for example, a work/office address, a nearby neighbours house, or the home of a friend or relative.
If a customer requests that a parcel be left outside or elsewhere (and therefore not signed for) e.g. "Please leave in the garden shed" or "Leave parcel in the porch" then it is at THEIR OWN FINANCIAL RISK if the parcel cannot later be located, has been damaged e.g. by rain or other weather conditions, animal damage, or has 'gone missing'.
In the case of higher value items e.g. over £100, then Monaco Beach may send the items via a signed for service due to insurance requirements.
Deliveries to non-UK addresses
Shipping to addresses outside the UK will be charged at £19.99 for postage to the US, Canada and Australia (free over £600), £12 to EU countries (free over £500), and normally require a signature on receipt. We cannot guarantee a precise time and date of delivery as obviously, once the goods are outside the UK, even if we have originally sent them via the Royal Mail, a delivery service local to the customer will be used.
Many of our parcels, due to the relatively high value, will require a signature on delivery to you. It is your responsibility to ensure that you will be there to accept it, or have arranged for someone else at the stated delivery address to be available to accept the parcel. In the event that no one at the address accepts the parcel, or it has to be returned to or retained by the postal, courier or customs office for any other reason, it is the responsibility of the customer to reclaim the parcel from their local area office.
It is your responsibility, if using a non-UK delivery address, to be aware of and to pay, any local purchase, import or other local/international taxes which are legally charged. Monaco Beach are not responsible for paying any foreign taxes.
If there are any local taxes, import duties or any other charges made by the country or state where the customer resides, or that apply to the customers chosen delivery address, then it is the CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that they are paid. These charges are all outside of the control and responsibilities of Monaco Beach and cannot be paid nor refunded by us.
Other Standard Conditions
If the delivery company messages the customer regarding an attempted delivery, it is the customers responsibility to comply with the notice and arrange for re-delivery or to collect the parcel from the delivery office themselves.
If the parcel is returned to us as a result of non-acceptance, or a dispute between the customer and the delivery company, refusal to pay legitimate taxes, or any other such actions by the customer, then the delivery and/or postage costs, or other losses incurred, may be deducted by Monaco Beach prior to processing any refund.
Monaco Beach is unable to process any refund until the items have been physically returned to us and their condition checked.
